10 cose che ho riportato indietro dalla Svizzera
Di ritorno da un fine settimana trascorso a Lugano

Lo scorso fine settimana sono stato a Lugano, ospite del festival Innovacomix, alla sua prima edizione. Ecco una lista delle cose che mi sono portato a casa:
Il pass del festival Innovacomix, che si aggiunge alla mia collezione, e una cartolina disegnata da Sacha Goerg, autore di una delle immagini-guida della manifestazione.
Tante foto del lago di Lugano, anche detto Ceresio. Non ho fatto in tempo a fare un giro del lago in battello però!
Una borsina di tela piena di campioncini omaggio Caran d’Ache. Nel dettaglio: una matita in legno di pino silvestre, un pastello in grafite, due pastelli a olio, una matita colorata azzurra, una matita acquarellabile verde scuro, un pennarello nero, un pennarello grosso azzurro.
Il ricordo di una spaghettata di mezzanotte: uno non si aspetterebbe di mangiare un memorabile piatto di spaghetti aglio e olio in un caffè di Lugano, e invece è andata proprio così… sarà stata la fame o il fatto di avere per commensali due splendidi fumettisti, cioè Piero Macola e Lorena Canottiere.
Dei tappi per le orecchie, gentilmente forniti dall’albergo in cui dormivo. Forse perché di fianco c’era la funicolare che portava alla stazione?
Una mascherina arancione, delle salviette disinfettanti, un pacchetto di fazzoletti, un flacone di disinfettante tipo amuchina ma totalmente anonimo, senza nessuna scritta o etichetta.
Tante chiacchiere con artisti svizzeri, francesi, tedeschi: la cosa più bella di questo festival stava proprio nel fatto di mescolare nazionalità diverse.
Una copia di In/Out di Lina Ghaibeh (Comicout edizioni), fumettista siriana/libanese/danese e una delle persone più piacevoli conosciute al festival. Qui racconta com’è stato crescere in Siria sotto il regime di Bashar Al-Assad e molte altre cose.
Il mio primo viaggio in Flixbus, complice uno sciopero dei treni italiani. Alla fine non è stato così terribile come temevo.
Una tavoletta di cioccolata svizzera, che è stata spunto per il fumetto qui sotto.
10 things I brought back from Switzerland
Last weekend I was in Lugano, Switzerland, attending the first edition of a new festival called Innovacomix. Here is a list of the things I brought back with me.

A lot o photos of the Lugano lake, also known as Ceresio lake. But I didn’ have the time to take a tour of the lake by boat!
A shopper filled with Caran d’Ache products. Specifically: a pencil made from Swiss pine wood, a grafcube, two oil pastels (blue and magenta), a coloured pencil (sky blue), a water-soluble pencil (gray-green), a fibre-tipped pen (black), a large fibre-tipped pen (sky blue).
The memory of a midnight “spaghettata”: one would not expect to taste a memorable dish of spaghetti aglio e olio (garlic + oil) in a café in Lugano, but this is what happened! Maybe I was particularly hungry or maybe it was because I had two wonderful comic artists as tablemates: Piero Macola e Lorena Canottiere.
A pair of earplugs, kindly provided by the hotel I was staying, probably because it was just next to the funicular railway.
A medical mask (orange), a sanitizer bottle but without any writing or label, a pack of paper handkerchiefs, two hand sanitizing wipes.
Many chats with artists from Switzerland, France, Germany. This was beautiful and really a plus for this festival. It doesn’t happen a lot to have such a mix.
A copy of In/Out by Lina Ghaibeh (but you can read it here), a Danish/Syrian/Lebanese comic artist and a really beautiful human being.
My first trip on a Flixbus. I was forced to take a bus by a railway strike occurring in Italy. It was not too bad, considering that taking the train I could have found myself stuck in a railway station at the border between Switzerland and Italy.
A Swiss chocolate table that was my inspiration for the comic strip below.
